One-way fares
Tolls, parking and state entry charges, if any on your route, are confirmed when you book.
Udaipur and Jaipur are about 400 km apart, around 6.5 to 7.5 hours by car including a meal stop. A one-way cab picks you up from your Udaipur hotel, home, the railway station or Maharana Pratap Airport and drops you anywhere in Jaipur, with no change of vehicle on the way.
It is one of the most travelled routes in Rajasthan, and a private cab is usually the easiest way to do it: you leave when you want, stop where you want, and families with children or elderly members avoid bus timings and crowded trains.
Route and stops
The usual route runs north on NH 58 through Nathdwara and Bhim to Ajmer, then on NH 448 into Jaipur. Our drivers stop on request: short food and rest breaks are included, while long or multiple sightseeing stops may cost a little extra.
The Shrinathji temple is about an hour out of Udaipur, an easy stop for darshan on the way.
The route passes Ajmer, home to the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, roughly two-thirds of the way to Jaipur.
Pushkar lake and its Brahma temple are about 15 km from Ajmer, for travellers with time for a longer detour.
Drop points
Tourists exploring Rajasthan often cover both cities as part of a bigger circuit, starting in one and finishing in the other. Business travellers use the route for meetings where flying is too expensive or slow for the distance, students book a one-way cab home for the holidays, and families travelling to weddings in either city find it easier with luggage and gifts than public transport.
