This place is famous for ‘Jauhar’ by Rani Padmavati. This place was censured three times, the prior by the Ala-Udin-Khilji, the second time by the Badshah Bahadur of Gujarat, the third time by the Mughal emperor, and after some period, Jahangir returned the fort and the kingdom to the Rajputs again.
