Sawai Jai Singh founded Jaipur and commanded the Kachwaha Rajput Clan. He built the palace on shifting the state capital from Amber to Jaipur. The last dynasty monarch was Raja Man Singh II. European-inspired architecture was designed by Vidyadhar Bhattacharya and Samuel Swinton Jacob.
The outer wall of City Palace was constructed by Maharaja Jai Singh II. Since then, other buildings and courtyards have been constructed, giving the palace's many structures specific dates.
Rajput, European, and Mughal architecture are all combined at City Place. Arched smaller palaces surround this red and pink sandstone palace. Now that these tiny palaces are museums, visitors can take a guided tour.
You'll come across cannons and tall sculptures that catch your attention as you move from one courtyard to another throughout City Palace. Look at the magnificent grandeur of the palace as you pass through the main gate.
The palace has a predefined residence of royals, working class and semi-working class. There are different mahals in it termed Mubarak mahal to welcome the guests. The Chandra Mahal is there, which was constructed on seven floors. Also, it has a grand peacock gate at the entrance that takes all your attention. there are paintings depicting the old city and culture of Jaipur.
